Mechatronics Engineer-Embedded Systems
• München, Bayern
Omnisent is pioneering scalable acoustic sensing powered by AI transforming audio into real-time intelligence. We build hardware + software tailored for acoustic
data, designed to extract insights from complex acoustic signals. Our proprietary ultra-low-power sonic devices capture and process acoustic signals in real-time, training what we call a Large Acoustic Model (LAM) our foundation model built to decode the rich, messy, and untapped world of non-speech audio. Were starting with the manufacturing industry, applying our tech to compressed air systems one of the most overlooked sources of energy waste. From there, were expanding into energy, defense, space, and smart cities sectors where sound is the next frontier. Tasks Circuit PCB Design: Develop low noise, high-frequency data acquisition systems through precise circuit design and PCB layout in close cooperation with external partners. Select and integrate electronic components for signal conditioning, amplification, acquisition and sensor features (such as tracking, data transmission, energy
harvesting methods) ensuring optimal performance and reliability of the acoustic sensor in complex environments. Sensor Integration Triangulation: Design and refine sensor locating systems employing technologies, such as GPS, Signal analysis, Bluetooth, UWB etc. as well as advanced time and radar methods to extract information about the surrounding environment. IoT Integration Communication:
Engineer secure, long-range wireless communication networks for seamless IoT integration. Ensure system interoperability and future-proof designs to accommodate evolving technology trends. Cross-Functional Collaboration External Exchange: Work in close collaboration with embedded systems, mechanical, and signal analysis engineers to achieve cohesive integration of electronic and physical systems. Engage with external companies and partners to align on component standards, integration protocols, and regulatory compliance. In-Field Testing Iterative Development: Lead in-field tests to validate system performance and resilience under real-world conditions. Iterate on designs based on testing feedback and continuously refine the product to meet industrial requirements as tested in-field at the facilities of current pilots. Requirements Basic Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Mechatronics, Electrical/ Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent [...]
