Fire safety and evacuation plan Performs daily medical unit rounds during shift hours, documenting any safety or hazardous conditions and reporting as needed. Follows up on completion of any needed safety/ hazardous condition corrections. Develops monthly education trainings specific to risk reduction in medical units and maintains documentation of staff completion of these trainings. Provides initial and annual education to all staff on policy, protocols, procedures, and standing orders. Maintains all the policy and procedures manuals, updating them monthly with any changes or revisions. Assures staff are fully versed in the latest policies and procedures. Provides ad hoc education and training to all staff as directed by the NPSQMD, and as needed based upon risk assessment and monitoring activities. Experience Must have a minimum of five years of clinical experience in direct patient care as a registered nurse and at least three years of experience in risk management, patient safety, and quality management.
