In addition, it is expected that the staff of the institute is supported in the development and publication of scientific software, e. g. , by organizing appropriate qualification measures. We are looking for: Applicants should have relevant scientific publications and experience in the development numerical methods for application-oriented problems, of the implementation of scientific software or open-source software and a good knowledge of modern software development methods, such as version control, continuous integration and documentation tools. Leiter: Prof. Dr. Volker John) schnellstmöglich eine Stelle als Wissenschaftliche/r Mitarbeiter/in und Research Software Engineer (m/w/d) (Kennziffer 25/ 05) zu besetzen. Zu den Arbeitsaufgaben gehören:Die/ der Bewerber In soll aktive Forschung auf den Gebieten der Simulation von Anwendungsthemen, insbesondere solchen, die in der Forschungsgruppe betrachtet werden (z. B. im Zusammenhang mit Strömungen, biomedizinischen Anwendungen, Halbleitern oder Elektrochemie) betreiben. Zudem sollen die Mitarbeiter/ innen des Instituts bei der Entwicklung und Publikation wissenschaftlicher Software unterstützt werden, z. B. durch die Organisation entsprechende Qualifikationsmaßnahmen. Wir suchen: Es sollten einschlägige wissenschaftliche Publikationen und Erfahrungen in der Entwicklung numerischer Methoden für anwendungsorientierte Probleme sowie ihrer Implementierung in wissenschaftliche Software oder Open-Source-Software und gute Kenntnisse zu modernen Methoden der Softwareentwicklung, wie Versionskontrolle, Continuous Integration und Dokumentationswerkzeugen vorgewiesen [...]
