The Bone Cancer Metastasis Group at the CCR of the MUW is seeking highly motivated PhD candidates as part of research project for the FWF Principal Investigator Program. The research project offers a highly competitive research training program in cancer biology with a focus on osteosarcoma, most common malignant bone cancer, as benchmarks of cancer development. The project aims to understand the mechanisms of cancer initiation, recurrence and metastasis using newly developed genetically engineered mouse models (GEMMs) combining with multiomics approach, leading to innovative therapeutic applications. The training is mainly provided by CCR with expertise spanning molecular and cellular research, human and mouse genetics, bioinformatics, mathematics, biomarkers, and drug development.
