Clinical Support Worker-Reed Ward

We are looking for someone who can be calm in difficult circumstances, and have an awareness of and the ability to adhere to strict confidentiality rules. Work as part of a team and an individual practitioner, supporting service users to maintain their independence and attend to their activities of daily living. Applicants must be able to commit to time required for working on the wards (rotated shifts, shifts information below for your attention) Main duties of the job Supporting service users with their food and fluid needs and keeping accurate records of their intake Supporting service users with their washing and dressing, and other hygiene needs Completing therapeutic observations (1:1s) with service users, observing and monitoring risks and presentation Lead activities on the ward that are dementia friendly Keeping accurate notes/ records of a service users presentation and clinical details Supporting service users who are in states of distress and anxiety Supporting service users who are [...] and skin damage. Complete skin assessments and monitor food and fluid intake. Complete daily notes and other forms of documentation such as incident reports and NEWS forms. There will be the opportunity for development and learning new skills such as phlebotomy, doing ECG, supporting with monitoring of clinical equipment. As part of the Team you will be expected to attend all mandatory training and keep up to date with your training records. As well as complete monthly line management supervision and yearly appraisals. You will also be supporting in the education/ training of nursing, apprentice and medical students as part of MDT working. Reed Ward is currently doing long days 07:00-19:30 and nights 19:00-07:30. The expectation of the role will be to work over a 24 hour rotation.
