Certified Medical Assistant, Oncology (Per Diem)

Assists physician and nurses with procedures as requested. Communicates with nurses, Radiation Therapists, and Providers to effectively facilitate patient flow. Assists in orientation of other personnel to the unit under the direction of management. Responsible for maintaining testing areas and other work areas in a clean, sanitary condition for the safety of patients, visitors, and staff. Maintains professional growth and development through seminars, workshops, in-services, trade journals, and professional affiliations to keep abreast of the latest trends in the field of expertise. Maintains patient privacy and confidentiality. Consistently provides service excellence to all patients, family members, visitors, volunteers and co-workers. Performs other work-related duties as assigned or requested. After obtaining the National Medical Assistant certification, the Certified Medical Assistant will perform medication reconciliation.
