Digital Pathology Coordinator

The Digital Pathology Coordinator will provide logistical and administrative support for the Department of Pathology s Digital Pathology whole slide scanning enterprise. The digital pathology coordinator is responsible for scanning and entering metadata for histology slides selected for consultation, teaching/ research, tumor board, clinical conferences, and archival imaging. The position is well-suited for a detail-oriented candidate who wants to work directly with patient data and play an essential role in delivering patient care. Job Description: Essential Responsibilities: 1. Plans, coordinates, and makes recommendations in preparation for high-profile digital pathology scanner operations for department 2. Streamline operations and workflow of the digital pathology department 3. Using a team approach, coordinate activities with multiple stake holders (attending physicians/ scientists, residents, and lab/ administrative staff) 4. Compiles, analyzes, and summarizes data from multiples sources to create detailed complex documents, reports, and high-level presentations 5. Completes department-specific responsibilities which are documented at a local level 6.
