IP/ Console Lead Engineer

As an IP/ Console Lead Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing the design, development, and integration of instrument panels (IP) , center consoles, and related interior components from concept to production. You will lead a team of engineers, coordinate with cross-functional teams, and ensure that designs meet performance, quality, cost, and timing objectives while adhering to regulatory standards. Responsibilities include: Lead and manage the complete development lifecycle of IP and console components, from concept through production. Provide technical direction to engineering teams on materials, [...] features such as infotainment, lighting, and HVAC vents. Requirements Bachelor s or Master s Degree in Mechanical, Automotive, or Manufacturing Engineering. 8+ years of experience in IP/ console engineering within the automotive industry. Strong expertise in plastic injection molding, foaming,
wrapping, painting, and assembly processes. Proficiency in CAD software (CATIA V5, ) and PLM tools. Experience leading cross-functional teams and supplier collaborations. Strong understanding of safety regulations (FMVSS, ECE, VDA) , fit finish, and durability targets. Knowledge of interior component integration, including ambient lighting, airbags, displays, and HVAC vents. Proven experience in cost management, supplier negotiations, and product optimization. Strong problem-solving skills with experience in DFMEA, PFMEA, and root cause analysis. Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management abilities. Experience with sustainable materials and lightweighting strategies (desirable) . Knowledge of smart surfaces, digital displays, and advanced user interfaces (desirable) . Familiarity with APQP, PPAP, and automotive quality processes (desirable) . Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing certification (desirable) . Benefits Health cash plan, [...]
